Trailer for ‘the inescapable decision’ – the making of

What a wonderful day for shooting the 2nd part of the ‘Book Trailer‘. God made sure everything was in place. That so many got involved is a miracle. A big thank you to Joyce Küng who captured it all on camera and the Arnis club for the fight scenes.

Thank you to the wonderfully talented cast members: Lexi as Gail, Désirée Délacroix who was able to live up to the challenge of both the role as the female dark figure and Eunice, a wheelchair bound girl of amazing faith, and Marie Schwarz as Lucy.

The sun shone a soft golden glow and the midday shadow made it possible for us to create the impression that Carl was drunkenly balancing on the railway bridge railing.

Thanks to the very talented Fabian who mastered the male dark figure and Brett Haight who played Carl in a very real and moving way.

For the following church scene we had to make do with fewer extras than were needed. It was 2PM and we were about to start filming when a group of 30 people walked in. They were on an guided tour of the archithecture. We asked if they would like to sit in for a few minutes so that we could stage a fuller church service and they did! God is great and always right on time!

Thank you Maggie, who beautifully managed the role of Susanne, Carls wife. Manuela glowing with the love and joy of the Holy Spirit and Emanuel eminating the strength, goodness and kindness of Jesus Christ. Thanks also to Cinzia and Lexi who took on the task of the other dark figures along with Fabian.

The great army of God surrounds Susanne. As she prays for her marriage they are there supporting her. Here they are waiting for the next take. Thanks to Claudia, Matthias, Martin & Isabella, Heidi, Janaye and Phillippe. As well as Sarah, Martina and Beni who are not in the picture.

The Holy Spirit provides Susanne with the armour of God. The helmet of salvation to guard her mind. The breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth and the boots of walking the gospel of peace. The shield of faith to ward off all the firery darts of the enemy, knowing that God will protect her and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God to equip her with the one weapon that can succeed in the spirital fight she is about to face.

Stuck in addictions, Carl doesn’t notice the fierce battle fought on his behalf.

Gail looks for her dad, at his office but he’s not there. “He’s never there when you need him” a dark figure whispers in her ear.

Her dads assistant, Christian, is amazed to see Gail dare behave rebellious.

Christian takes Gail to meet his sister Eunice in hospital. Soon a wonderful friendship blossoms.

Gail only has eyes for Christian. She keeps going back to visit her new friend and is amazed at how Eunice can have such strong faith.

Gail visits Lucy, a friend from the past who suffers the torture of drug addiction and is stuck in an abusive relationship.

Gail tries to stop her from taking the line but Lucy listens to dark figures lie.

Gail starts to pray. Jesus comes and darkness has to make way!

Hallelujah! Check it out here: ‘Trailer

A very special and appreciative thanks goes out to the prayer group who kept us afloat and saturated in prayer and to the generous gesture of financial support offered separately. The cast and crew who offered their time, talents and energy, most of them voluntarily. Thank you to the reform Church Effretikon for the perfect stages for the various sets needed in order to perform.

You are all wonderful and powerful warriors of God. May he protect and bless you. I am amazed at what God has done and is still doing in and through us and excited to see what the final result will be. Be very blessed! Claire.
