Deceitful lies, constant pressure to rationalize. Wishful thinking, comparison thrives. The enemy gaining dominion in our lives. Arrows of lies leading astray, destroying our peace, causing dismay. The enemy plans to destroy, using mind-games to lead us away, from God who loves us unconditionally.
Hopes and dreams crushed as we sway, moved by the enemy every which way, engaged in combat every day. Lord help us filter out the deceptive, manipulating us to become receptive, to the devils twisted perspective.
Our yearning for the unrealistic. Led by lust, pride or greed, to gain from others whatever we perceive, to be beneficial to our own selfish need.
One thing we know, it is not meant to be so. Our hearts yearn for more. More kindness, love and mindfulness, in a world deprived of gentleness. Where only the tough survive. In a desperate attempt to stay alive. Beneath the exterior, hides a hurt, scared, pretensive inferior. A fake kind of fearlessness, to combat the sheer ruthlessness, of everyone else held in bondage, to the very same kind of harnesses.
No one able to counter the shame, Beating down on them every day. Wallowing in self-pity and helplessness, yearning for some kind of gentle caress, for their battered heart as they stress, striving for greatness, fame or success.
Yearning to ease the ever growing notion, that we are no good in our own motion. Caused to be lead by emotion, feelings misused, flung in every direction, as we long for more, in need of affection.
We strive for love, peace and acceptance. The void can be filled, turn to repentance, away from the lies, life’s death sentence.
There is no condemnation for those of us, who have given our lives to Christ Jesus. Grateful that his love has saved us, our hearts overcome by mercy and grace, the Glory of God now dwells in this place!
His purpose for you is good my dear friend. Turn around and seek to stay, focused on him every day. It’s hard but Jesus had a harder price to pay. We are encouraged to trust and to pray, to not let the enemy ruin our time here. In vain he causes strife, worry, shame and fear, when we trust and demand; that the Lord our God is at hand!
As we rejoice and take a stand, his peace keeps us steadfast in the land. His purpose for you is good my dear friend. Even if you are alone, going through life with no one. Remember that he is with you. He has a purpose for your life so, do not be afraid, downcast or sad. Cast you cares on him and he will care for you. His provision is faithful and his presence will make you glad.
Persevere and you will stand the test. Overcome and you will find rest. He will bring you through, and show you life’s best, which is not about being in control or the wealthiest. Seek and find what he has in store, now and forever more. For his mercies never end. His purpose for you is good my dear friend!
