Then why not book a trip to one of our Impact Retreat houses? We have set up places for you to rest, recover and if you are led to do so, to network with other believers, bring the presence of God with you into the area, to pray and intercede as the Holy Spirit leads.
The purpose of Impact Retreat is to offer well deserved rest, recovery, and a place to wind down, while also bringing the presence and Kingdom of God with you into the area the house is situated in. It is not about evangelization or ministry work as much as it is about prayer, intercession, and preparing the ground for the next move of God.
He has declared victory over the area, and we are sent there from outside to support our brothers and sisters already doing the groundwork there to support and reach their communities. Once there, God will lead you to see and understand what is on his heart.
You can stay and just relax, walk around, enjoy the garden, write your book, or do your thing; whatever it is, that is fine, or you can combine your interests with interceding for the community there, meet local ministries, help out practically, or join worship, prayer, healing, or deliverance sessions nearby. You are not required to engage with anyone there. It is not about that. But you can pray for them, the community, the land, time, and anything God shows you. While resting inside, playing the electric piano, or just worshipping God or by going out for walks, visiting the town centre, the nearby city, or the countryside.
After your stay make sure to send us a message about what God has done, your experiences, and ideas to further optimize the ministry. And remember, these places are strategically placed by God in areas he wants to be present in. This means that the light shines in the darkness! There are several Impact Retreat places coming up. Impact Retreat has been strategically placed here in Middleton by God, through a string of circumstances that led us to be there. Walking around the area in prayer there was a lot of warfare and need for intercession for the community, families and youth.
One Friday night, after a prayer and deliverance meeting, the Lord asked me to declare the victory of Christ into the spiritual places of that area. After plucking up some courage, I zoned out everyone else, got my white transparent worship flag out and held it high while striding around the whole car park (where probably every person in the area goes shopping), praying in tongues and declaring the victory of Christ over the area. The people ignored me.. until I got all the way around and walked into the town centre area where a group of young lads, probably between 13 and 17 years old, there were more than ten of them, came to ask what the flag was about. They were genuinely curious and interested to know about God, how to pray, how he answers, what he wants for them, some even asked for prayer. Some found it funny while others earnestly considered the things of God.
The youth in this area are as ripe as in so many places. They are questioning everything and seeking truth. They are searching for someone to hear them and something solid to hold on to.
There are churches and people who live there and minister to the people of Middleton and we are there only to uplift them and the community in prayer and intercession, to support them however the Holy Spirit leads and to come into the area with worship, praise and intercession – to bring the Kingdom and presence of God with us and enhance what is already being done there.
